Controlling networked robots
Jongeun Choi, assistant professor in mechanical engineering, studies distributed learning and cooperative control algorithms for multi-agent systems using statistical models for environmental monitoring. Funded by the National Science Foundation, his research group has developed a network of collaboratively learning, mobile, robotic sensors to estimate and predict unknown spatio-temporal environmental processes such as harmful algal blooms.
