MSU’s Hale Wins Remi Award at International Film Fest
Troy Hale, specialist in Michigan State University’s College of Communication Arts and Sciences, won a Remi Award from the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival for his “Missing Moon Rocks” film.
Each year, WorldFest-Houston receives more than 4,500 category entries, and only about 15 percent of the entries win a Remi Award. The Remi Award is named after Frederic Remington, whose sculptures and paintings captured the spirit of Texas and the West.
Hale is a 22-time Emmy Award winner and has been nominated more than 50 times for his work as a documentary film director and television journalist. He has been teaching and directing documentary films at MSU for the past 10 years.
