Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are chemicals with almost ubiquitous exposure in the United States. An ad hoc committee appointed by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has produced an objective and authoritative review of current evidence regarding the human health effects of the most widely studied PFAS. The report provides advice to the Centers for Disease Control on who, when, how, and what to test, as well as the benefits and harms of testing.
We invite you to join us on Thursday, July 28, 2022 for the public briefing of our report where the public will have the opportunity to submit questions to the committee concerning the report.
