Researchers listen to presentations about AI and the environment, November 6, 2024

The Office of Research and Innovation recently hosted AI and the Environment, a research mixer focused on the applications of AI and ecological sciences. This event gave researchers the opportunity to learn about how colleagues are using AI in their research, as well as important networking time, developing new connections and conversations related to the theme.

Five flash talk speakers presented their research from a diverse range of disciplines. Represented colleges include College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Engineering, College of Natural Science, and College of Social Science. Presentations highlighted research in biodiversity, genomics, animal monitoring, and how to leverage digital models and deep learning for research.
