Dear Colleague,

I write to call your attention to Governor Whitmer's Executive Order 2020-90 Allowing Laboratory Research to Resume, issued Friday, May 15.

As you know, we have been planning for a safe reactivation of research at MSU, in anticipation of this order. Researchers should continue to work with their departments, institutes, and colleges within the process described in our earlier communication:

We are working toward an efficient and safe research reactivation. Please note that, Executive Order 2020-90 notwithstanding, on site research activities should NOT resume without approval within the MSU process.

With best wishes,

Steve Hsu
Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation
