The U.S. Global Change Research Program is undertaking the first National Nature Assessment, or NNA1, and has appointed four MSU researchers to author and lead several chapters.

Assistant Professor Josh Vermaas has been awarded a Maximizing Investigators' Research Award, or MIRA, from the National Institutes of Health, which will support research in Vermaas’s lab for five years.

Felicia Wu, John A. Hannah Distinguished Professor and University Distinguished Professor in Michigan State University’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, was selected to serve on the World Health Organization’s, or WHO’s, Risk-Benefit Assessment Technical Group to make recommendations on dietary guidelines.
