About the Speaker
Oliver Bogler, Ph.D., led a highly successful NCI R01-funded brain tumor research lab for 16 years at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, securing $13.2M in grants and publishing over 80 papers, while also co-leading MD Anderson’s first SPORE grant. He has chaired and served on over 25 grant review committees and oversaw major academic and philanthropic initiatives, including managing MD Anderson’s academic affairs. Bogler most recently served as the director of the Center for Cancer Training at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) where he oversaw NCI’s $210M early career grant portfolio. He currently runs his own consulting group (Oliver Bogler Coaching and Consulting) to help support early career scientists achieve their scientific goals.
