The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University, with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), hosts a one-day workshop focused on bridging the gap between academic research and industrial application. The event features expert speakers from leading academic institutions and industry leaders, discussing key topics in soft materials including mechanical properties, molecular design, and mechano-transport. Additionally, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers will present their latest work. Designed to inspire innovation and facilitate knowledge exchange, the event serves as a vital platform for advancing soft materials research and empowering the next generation of innovators.
The workshop explicitly aims to:
