This webinar will provide an overview of the structure of the NIH and several funding mechanisms. Attendees will learn tips for planning a successful NIH proposal, including how to search the RePORTER website, identify an optimal institute and study section, and prepare to meet with a Program Officer.  

This webinar will be presented by Lauren Aerni-Flessner, Ph.D. and Sara Steenrod, Ph.D., Research Development Specialists in MSU’s Office of Research & Innovation. They provide a variety of services, including individual and small group consultations, grant writing webinars, writing groups, and grant editing to help faculty develop competitive grant proposals for federal funding agencies.
