Lessons Learned in Writing SBIR & STTR Grants

Overview

Join us for this interactive discussion on SBIR/STTR grant writing. The panelists will share their experiences and resources for writing winning grant proposals. Both novice and advanced grant writers will benefit from attendance.

The session will explore opportunities that will:  

  • provide support for knowledge mobilization and mentoring for MSU community 
  • encourage researchers to utilize MSU and external resources for support
  • discuss the criteria for success in the grant seeking enterprise.

Highlights include a keynote presentation by Allen Tien, President and Chief Science Officer, mdlogix, Baltimore, MD, who has won over a dozen SBIR/STTR grants; and Kris Bergman, Managing Partner and Co-owner, Biotechnology Business Consultants & Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting, Chelsea, MI, a state subsidized company devoted to assisting small businesses capture SBIR and STTR grants from the various funding agencies.

The event includes a panel discussion forum along with a reception.
