About

The Henry Ford Cancer Precision Medicine, the Henry Ford Hermelin Brain Tumor Center, and the Henry Ford + MSU Cancer Committee are proud to sponsor a NIH K Grant Workshop led by Dr. Oliver Bogler designed to equip investigators with the essential skills to navigate NIH K grant funding opportunities with confidence and clarity. Postdocs, research instructors, faculty, clinician-scientists, and others intending to apply for an NIH K grant opportunity are encouraged to attend. 

What you’ll gain:

  • Strategies to navigate NIH K funding mechanisms
  • Guidance on crafting compelling Specific Aims, Research Strategy, and Career Development sections
  • Insights into the current NIH K grant review process

Bio for Oliver Bogler, PhD: Dr. Bogler led a highly successful NCI R01-funded brain tumor research lab for 16 years, securing $13.2M in grants and publishing over 80 papers, while also co-leading MD Anderson’s first SPORE grant. He has chaired and served on over 25 grant review committees and oversaw major academic and philanthropic initiatives, including managing MD Anderson’s academic affairs. Dr. Bogler most recently served as the Director of the Center for Cancer Training at NCI where he oversaw NCI’s $210M early career grant portfolio.
