Who should attend the workshops?
These sessions are for faculty who are willing to work in a small group to refine a selected theme and help shape a short concept brief. These will be smaller working sessions than the April workshops and will likely involve a stronger commitment to discussion, drafting, and revision over a defined short period.
What will happen in these workshops?
Faculty volunteers will work in small groups on a limited number of selected themes. The goal is to tighten the framing, articulate the central research opportunity, identify what coordination or support would be needed in the near term, and make clear what makes the theme a strong fit for MSU. These are working sessions, not open-ended forums. Participation may therefore be more limited than in the April workshops.

At this stage, OR&I will clarify the mechanism for participation, limits, expected workload, and authorship/attribution. Workshops will be held on May 4 and 5 in the morning (~9 a.m. - 12 p.m.). Please hold time on those dates if you are interested in participating
