A lecture by Dr. Rajmohan Gandhi to mark the 150th anniversary of this grandfather's birth.
Reception 6:30 PM followed by lecture at 7:00 PM.
Professor Gandhi looks at the growing willingness in India and elsewhere to let sentiments such as supremacy, dislike and revenge replace the goals that persons like Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., championed, including equality, friendship and mutual respect among diverse communities within a nation and among nations. And he asks whether Gandhi can continue to offer ideas and strategies for struggles to restore belief in a common humanity.
