Science and Art Day 2019
Join the MSU Science Communication organization (MSU SciComm) with the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) in their first live Science-Art show
featuring Physics Girl at the Wharton Center. The show will also be live-streamed inside the FRIB auditorium.
Dianna Cowern is the creator and host of the viral and PBS sponsored “Physics Girl” web series with over 1.3 million subscribers, which is a resource for fun physics videos and other materials about physics and topics related to physics.
"Physics Girl" will perform from 2:00 to 4:30 PM at the Wharton Center.
Tickets to these events are FREE and open to the public! Individuals interested in attending the Live Science Art Show should visit the Wharton Center Ticket Office to pick up tickets. There is something for all ages, so bring your friends, family, and friend's family to enjoy a day of science art.
OTHER SCIENCE-ART EVENTS
• 11 am - 5 pm Abrams Planetarium people can see a virtual tour of the FRIB on the dome. Solar telescopes will be out and people can make clouds in bottles. There is also science-art in the Planetarium!
• 11 am - 5 pm FRIB auditorium opening day of the MSU SciComm science-art exhibition outside the FRIB auditorium.
• 7 pm - 10 pm at The Grid Bar/Arcade. "Beat the Scientist" Beer Release of Saugatuck Brewing Co. "Atomic Ale" featuring MSU SciComm and The Sci-Files from Impact 89FM. Support provided by Astronomy on Tap.
