MSU Scholars
MSU researchers have access to a funding search tool that also has the ability to provide alerts on new funding opportunities. Researchers should log in to the Faculty Insight Discovery section of MSU Scholars using an MSU NetID to get started. Be sure to enter research interests and key words for best matching. The MSU Scholars database is also an excellent way to find other researchers for collaborative projects. View this short video for a demonstration of the program.
Grants.gov
Grants.gov is a centralized location for grant seekers to find and apply for federal grants. You may also enroll for automated notices to be sent to you via email. For National Science Foundation-specific email notices, enroll for MyNSF.
Foundation Directory Online Professional
The Foundation Directory Online Professional is an online database of more than 300,000 grant makers around the globe. Visit the MSU Library Grants and Related Resources page and then follow the link in the center of page called "Foundation Directory Online Professional." Access requires being signed on through a university device or using the VPN to connect.
The Funding Center
MSU is a member of the Foundation Center's Funding Information Network. The library has created an alcove called the Funding Center (on 1 East) that includes many grant and financial aid directories, plus additional books on fundraising, grant or proposal writing, the creation and management of nonprofits, and philanthropy in general.
