Training comprises a critical part of our research regulatory compliance program. Last year MSU students, employees, and faculty took over 80,000 courses. The new Ability Training Compliance system hosts over 100 online and face-to-face courses that protect researchers, their personnel, and research subjects.
To use the Ability system effectively, we are encouraging supervisors to learn about subject tracks in addition to specific courses. For example, a student may have an Environmental Health and Safety track, an Animal Care and Use track, and a Responsible Conduct of Research track, each with one or more courses. Adding tracks to your new employees’ Ability accounts helps them start training quickly and with confidence. Using tracks ensures email reminders are sent and can improve compliance inspection results. Get more information and log in at https://train.ora.msu.edu.
