Upcoming Upgrades to the CLICK IRB System
Starting Monday, March 31 at 8:00 am and lasting through Tuesday, April 8 at 8:00 am, the Click Research Compliance IRB System (Click IRB) will experience a software upgrade and will be unavailable during this time. Please be aware of this outage as this will impact your research submissions and access to the Click IRB during this time.
Who Will This Impact?
This will affect all users with IRB submissions.
What is Changing?
The new Click enhancements will create a more user-friendly experience and enhanced navigation of your submissions, along with aligning software versions with the IACUC, SAFETY, and AOPS Click modules.
How Will This Impact Existing IRB Studies and Submissions?
Existing IRB studies and pending submissions will automatically transfer to the upgraded module. However, you will not be able to access your IRB studies or submissions during the upgrade from Monday, March 31 at 8:00 am until Tuesday, April 8 at 8:00 am.
Do I Need to Do Anything?
Yes, in the following circumstances, action is needed:
- If you may need documents from Click IRB during the upgrade, please download the needed documents. For example, if you may need approved informed consent documents, approval letters, instruments, etc., please download these documents to maintain access to them while the system is unavailable.
- If your study is expiring during the upgrade or shortly after the upgrade, please submit a continuing review as soon as possible. We will also reach out separately to researchers that have expiring projects that are impacted by the upgrade.
- If you have pending IRB submissions or are planning a new IRB submission, please submit or respond as soon as you are able. If there is an urgent deadline that impacts your IRB submission, please contact the IRB office (irb@msu.edu) and add a comment in Click with a notification to the IRB coordinator. Please note that actions taken on IRB submissions after Friday, March 28 at 5:00 pm won’t be processed until after the upgrade is completed on Tuesday, April 8 at 8:00 am.
