James Dearing Appointed to EPA Board of Scientific Counselors

James Dearing, Brandt Endowed Professor in the Department of Communication, has been selected to join the United States Environmental Protection Agency Board of Scientific Counselors. The term began in March.  


The EPA Board of Scientific Counselors is a federal advisory committee that provides independent scientific and technical peer review, advice, consultation, and recommendations related to research on air, climate, and energy; chemical safety for sustainability; health and environmental risk assessment; homeland security; safe and sustainable water resources; and sustainable and healthy communities.
