Please join the Michigan State University Center for PFAS Research for the 2023 Annual Symposium. The event takes place Sunday, Oct. 22 to Tuesday, Oct. 24 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing, Michigan.
This year’s symposium is titled “PFAS – Current Knowledge and Applications for Agricultural Production” and is hosted in conjunction with University of Maine, Maine Farmland Trust, and USDA Agricultural Research Service.
Participants will exchange scientific information and discoveries while also discussing PFAS contamination in agricultural systems, transport into crops and livestock, remediation, policy and emerging issues of PFAS. There will be an opportunity to learn about new skills and technologies that may influence the scientific direction, management strategies, and supply chain sectors of PFAS contamination and solutions.
A welcome reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22. Opening remarks for the symposium and a plenary speaker and panel will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23. The plenary speaker and panel will be livestreamed. Participants wishing to view the livestreamed session will need to register as virtual participants. Only the plenary speaker and panel on Oct. 22 from 8:30 - 11:45 a.m. will be livestreamed. The remaining components of the symposium will only be in person.
For attending participants, a group room block has been created with lodging available for $125 per night.
