The Trifecta Initiative Facilitating Funds (TIFF) Award
The Trifecta Initiative Facilitating Fund (TIFF) Awards are designed to provide investigators from the Trifecta Initiative colleges (Communications Arts & Sciences, Engineering, and Nursing) with resources towards federally funded NIH/NSF proposals.
The TIFF Award is intended for targeted data collection (e.g., participant payment, survey distribution) and/or statistical consultations and analysis (e.g. CSTAT, ICER) of existing data. Other expenditures towards finalizing an NIH/NSF proposal could include such things as visits with an NIH/NSF program officer, publication costs, or travel costs for conferences. For the Spring 2024 Call for TIFF Proposals, the Trifecta Initiative will support up to two projects. Each submitted proposal may request up to $8,500
Application Procedure
To apply, please follow this two-step process:
- Submit the Facilitating Funds Award template as a PDF document to trifecta@msu.edu by the deadline below
- Work with your college pre-award team to create a Research Administration/Kuali Coeus proposal development document number (PD number) for the internal sponsor code - MSU Trifecta.
The TIFF application was designed to assist with the completion of the NIH/NSF federal forms, including abbreviated components of standard NIH/NSF proposals. If a federal application has been started, these components may be summaries of what has already been composed.
