The Jenison Fund continues to provide targeted, time-limited support to help researchers sustain progress amid evolving federal funding priorities. In its third round of the three-year initiative, the Jenison Fund has supported graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and both junior and senior faculty across the university, reinforcing MSU’s commitment to research continuity and excellence.
This round includes awards that span a broad cross-section of the university, with recipients from eight colleges and units: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Communication Arts and Sciences, Education, Human Medicine, International Studies Program, Natural Science, Social Science, and University Outreach & Engagement. Together, these awards reflect the depth and diversity of research taking place across MSU.
Through its flexible funding mechanisms, the Jenison Fund helps researchers maintain momentum, complete critical work, and adapt projects in response to shifting funding landscapes. By supporting scholars at multiple career stages, the program strengthens both individual research trajectories and the broader research enterprise.
The Jenison Fund will offer another round of awards this fall, with applications due November 9. To learn more about funding categories and how to apply, visit the Jenison Fund Career and Research Continuity Support webpage.
