MSU researchers (faculty, staff, and students) have access to a funding search tool from Academic Analytics. For faculty, the tool also has the ability to provide email alerts on new funding opportunities (daily, weekly, or monthly).  

Researchers should log in to the Faculty Insight Discovery section of MSU Scholars using their MSU NetID to get started. Enter a research topic on the left side of the screen and click “Search.” What first appears, under the “Scholars” tab, are researchers at MSU who do work on the topic entered. To find researchers nationwide on the topic check “Include National Data” above the search term and run the search again.  Funding opportunities related to the topic will appear under the “Funding” tab. 

Users can also search for specific faculty rather than a research topic. On the left side of the home page after login, click on the dropdown beside “Search by” and choose “Scholar Name.”  Enter the faculty name and click “Search.”  The funding opportunities that appear will be matched to the scholar’s research profile.
