Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies had a name change in January of 2019 and is now called the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation.

Community Research Institutional Review Board

The Community Research Institutional Review Board was developed by MSU and its community partners and is one of three IRBs operated by MSU.  The CRIRB reviews multi-community projects, those that will be performed at two or more sites, including East Lansing/Lansing and projects which require expertise in community-based research.

Office of Sponsored Programs

The MSU Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is a unit under the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies with an organizational affiliation to the Chief Financial Officer & Controller.

The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, usually referred to as PNAS, is the official journal of the United States National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

National Endowment for the Arts

The National Endowment for the Arts was established by Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government. To date, the NEA has awarded more than $4 billion to support artistic excellence, creativity, and innovation for the benefit of individuals and communities. The NEA extends its work through partnerships with state arts agencies, local leaders, other federal agencies, and the philanthropic sector.

A principal investigator (PI) is the lead scientist or engineer for a research project.

Civilian Research & Development Foundation

The Civilian Research & Development Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes international scientific and technical collaboration through grants, technical resources, training and services. CRDF Global is based in Arlington, Virginia with offices in Moscow, Russia; Kyiv, Ukraine; Almaty, Kazakhstan; and Amman, Jordan.
