The Innovation Hub for AgBio located at MSU offers new funding opportunities for the commercialization of AgBio technologies through the availability of Tier II Starter and Tier I Full Grants.
The deadline for the next round of starting funding will be announced soon.
In addition to applying for MTRAC AgBio funding, researchers may also apply to other MTRAC Innovation Hubs in Michigan, including Life Sciences, Advanced Applied Materials, and Transportation.

The MSU Innovation Center is proud to manage and administer the ADVANCE Grant Program sponsored by Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) on behalf of all public universities throughout the State of Michigan. The ADVANCE Grant program, like MTRAC, provides a strong incentive for faculty with early stage technologies at Michigan public universities to engage with their university’s technology transfer office and commercialization activities. These programs are awarded to small businesses and therefore faculty researchers must collaborate with a small company in order to participate.
