Overview
MSU One Health Research connects the health of people, animals, plants, and the environment across the university’s colleges and disciplines. In 2025, the Office of the President convened the One Team, One Health Research Task Force, whose 2026 report recommended that MSU organize its research around One Health and build a university-wide research network. In spring 2026, the Office of Research and Innovation led a faculty-based research sprint that engaged more than 600 faculty across the university to surface the research themes and shared priorities the Network now builds on. The MSU One Health Research Network carries that work forward: it connects faculty across colleges, organizes the university’s One Health research agenda, and builds the infrastructure, partnerships, and investment that cross-domain One Health research needs.
