The Physics Frontier Center JINA (Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics) at the University of Notre Dame, Michigan State University, the University of Chicago, and Argonne National Laboratory will provide an intellectual center with the goal to enable swift communication and stimulating collaborations across field boundaries and at the same time provide a focus point in a rapidly growing and diversifying field.

The Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBERs) were created by Congress under the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988 to increase and promote the nation's capacity for international understanding and competitiveness.  Administered by the U.S. Department of Education under Title VI, Part B of the Higher Education Act of 1965, the CIBER network links the manpower and technological needs of the United States business community with the international education, language training, and research capacities of universities across the country.  The 33 CIBERsserve as regional and national resources to business people, students, and teachers at all levels. This grant program adheres to the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) Title 34, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 74-86 and 97-99.

Project GREEEN (Generating Research and Extension to meet Economic and Environmental Needs) is Michigan’s plant agriculture initiative based at Michigan State University.

The International Center holds the largest single archive of survey data concerning the public understanding of science of any research center in the world.

The Grant Proposal System (GPS) was developed by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate studies as a portal for MSU faculty to gain information about and apply for, internal funding opportunities offered by the University.

CHANS-Net: International Network of Research on Coupled Human and Natural Systems facilitates communication and collaboration among scholars from around the world who are interested in coupled human and natural systems (e.g., coupled human-environment systems, social-ecological systems, ecological-economic systems, population-environment systems) and who strive to find sustainable solutions that both benefit the environment and enable people to thrive.

CHANS-Net is sponsored by the Dynamics of Coupled Natural and Human Systems program of the National Science Foundation, with coordination provided by the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability at Michigan State University.
